Amy is a Los Angeles based actor, writer, producer and wielder of swords. She grew up in Seattle, WA where she attended the University of Washington, earning a BA in theatre while also competing with the National Championship Rowing Team. She continued her studies in Tashkent, UZ, studying at the prestigious Ilkhom Theatre School of Drama, a Russian acting conservatory. She stayed in Tashkent for over 3 years, earning her MFA, and focusing on the fundamentals of theatre, creating character, stage combat, and Lecoq technique. While there she was living and breathing theatre and art, as well as learning to speak Russian. Amy can be seen around L.A., performing improv and hosting.
Jayme is an actor, writer and professional swordsman. He holds a BFA in musical theatre and screenwriting from Columbia College Chicago and a MFA in acting from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. While studying in the UK, he had the opportunity of performing in Hamlet at the world famous Shakespeare’s Globe in London. His film and television credits include roles on NBC’s Heartbeat, MTV’s Underemployed, and the horror film, Diabolical. His stunt and sword work can be seen in various Star Wars, Disney and video game projects.
Jayme also hosts a weekly podcast called, Civil Discourse, that brings mindfulness into our lives, culture, and politics.
Steven LaMorte is a freelance Director and Producer of feature films, television, commercials, web content, music videos, and virtual reality.
During his studies at New York University Tisch School of the Arts, Steven majored in Film and Television Production. He also studied under Czech Cinematographers and Directors at the 35mm Film Production Program at Prague’s film school FAMU.
Since moving to Los Angeles, Steven has directed several feature films, as well as dozens of commercials and promos. Most recently Steven produced a series of family films featuring talking tigers, lions, bears, and other exotic animals.
Steven’s upcoming projects include everything from action and faith based films to commercials and virtual reality experiences. He currently lives in Los Angeles, California
Jan Bryant has always been interested in combat as an art form. She began her career as an actress, dancer and choreographer of dance and movement. After graduating from UC Berkeley with a degree in Theatre, she was working as a dance and movement choreographer when she met her future husband, Dan Speaker. They moved to Hollywood and melded their respective talents and training into a new method of teaching and choreographing fight scenes for the motion picture industry.
Today Jan is one of the few female swordmasters in the film industry, and continues to teach, choreograph, act and perform the arts of combat and sword fighting.
Miriam Mayer is a composer for media and a multi-instrumentalist, fashioning unique scores that help illuminate content creators’ stories. Her compositions can be heard on every major network and cable channel. She scores indie films and has recently completed the score for a horror feature, and a comedy now streaming on Amazon. She is a proud member of the Emmys Television Academy and was John Williams’ assistant for many years, working on films including, “Star Wars, The Phantom Menace,” “Catch Me If You Can,” and “Saving Private Ryan.” Miriam works in the studios, theaters, and concert halls of her native Los Angeles. She is so proud to have scored Trials of Ember and help support great action filmmaking!
